Ashland Health Center (AHC) is a comprehensive, rural community
health complex that has been providing care to the greater Ashland
community for over 50 years. AHC is proud of our service to the
community through our 24-bed critical access hospital, 21-bed Long
Term Care Unit, 6-bed independent living apartment complex, rural
health clinic, and home health service line. We are a not-for-profit
hospital district that is governed by a board of directors elected by
the community.
AHC is a proud member of the Great Plains Health Alliance (GPHA),
an organization of leased, managed and affiliated hospitals in Kansas
and Nebraska. Formed in 1950, GPHA is one of the oldest and largest
not-for-profit management systems in the nation developed to meet the
special needs and challenges of the community healthcare system.
For more information on GPHA, visit their website at
www.gpha.com.
AHC is located in Ashland, the largest city and the county seat of
Clark County, Kansas. Ashland lies on what was once a military road
between Fort Dodge (now Dodge City, KS) and Fort Supply and the Indian
Territory. For more information on Ashland, visit the Chamber of Commerce
website at www.ashlandks.com.
As one of the largest employers in Ashland, we believe that providing the
very best care begins with the recruitment and retention of high quality
healthcare professionals. AHC offers a comprehensive range of benefits,
including our Employee Education Assistance program, where we reimburse
employees' student loans in exchange for time of service.
Our greatest asset is our people and we take care of them!
